PULAU INDAH, 18 OGOS 23 - Rear Admiral Dato’ Hanafiah bin Hassan, Director General of the National Hydrographic Centre, graciously received a courtesy visit from Senior Captain Zhao Lang and Senior Captain Yang Yanhua, Commanders of the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) 43rd Escort Task Group (ETG 162). The delegation was accompanied by Senior Colonel Zhang Ge, the Defense Attaché of the People's Republic of China's Embassy. The PLAN ETG 162, consisting of the guided-missile destroyer NANNING (162), the guided-missile frigate SANYA (54), and the supply ship WEISHANHU (887), arrived at the Port Klang Cruise Terminal (PKCT) yesterday morning and commencing their four-day goodwill visit to Malaysia. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Malaysia and China. The friendly port call by the PLAN ships and the courtesy visit to the Chief Hydrographer of the National Hydrographic Centre by the ETG's Commanders will further strengthen defence diplomacy and cooperation between the two nations.
