CHINA, 2 MAC 2025 - MALAYSIA’S COMMITMENT TO STRENGHTHENING REGIONAL HYDROGRAPHIC COOPERATION IN HANGZHOU, CHINA . From 25th to 28th February 2025, Malaysia, under the esteemed leadership of the Chief Hydrographer of the National Hydrographic Centre (NHC), Rear Admiral Dato' Hanafiah bin Hassan, actively participated in a series of high-level maritime meetings in Hangzhou, China, hosted by the China Maritime Safety Administration (China MSA). These engagements brought together key maritime stakeholders from the East Asia region to foster regional cooperation, hydrographic capacity building, and maritime safety advancements. The Malaysian delegation comprised: valuable expertise on Maritime Safety Information (MSI) for NAVAREA XI. The fruitful discussions reaffirmed the importance of regional partnerships in safeguarding our shared maritime domain and enhancing the delivery of hydrographic services in East Asia. Malaysia remains steadfast in its commitment to advancing maritime safety, hydrographic excellence, and capacity-building initiatives, contributing to a safer and more sustainable maritime environment across the region.
