YOGYAKARTA, 17 FEB 23 - The 14th Malacca and Singapore Straits Electronic Navigational Chart Steering Committee (MSS-ENC SC) Meeting, hosted by Indonesia, was successfully concluded on the evening of 17 February 2023 in Yogyakarta. This MSS-ENC SC meeting was the last task of Malaysian officials led by Rear Admiral Dato' Hanafiah bin Hassan after participating in the 12th East Asia Hydrographic Commission (EAHC) Training, Research and Development Centre Board of Director (TRDC-BOD) Meeting and the 9th EAHC SC Meeting back-to-back since 15 February. The meeting was attended by the Japan Hydrographic Association (JHA) and the hydrographic offices of the three coastal states in the Strait of Malacca and Singapore (Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore). At the end of the meeting, it was formally agreed that Malaysia will be the coordinator of MSS-ENC in the next term. The official handover by Indonesia will take place in July 2023. Well done, Malaysia!
